Schroeder Cabinets. Hand Built Bass Cabinets.

- Bassist with The Andy T - Nick Nixon Band based out of Nashville Tn.

John has been playing bass for over 45 years and resides in Nashville Tn. He has shared the stage with notables such as, Texas guitarist and Producer, Anson Funderburgh -  Former Fabulous Thunderbirds front man, harp player and Producer, Kim Wilson -  Blues Brother Guitarist, Song Writer and Producer, Steve Cropper -  Singer extraordinaire and emerging artist, backup singer for Bob Seger and Little Feet, Shawn Murphy - Guitar master for The Stan Lasiter Group,  Stan Lasiter - Former Allman Brothers Guitar Player, Jack Pearson  and others as well.  John's roots are in the Blues,  Motown and Rock but is open to just about anything.

I have chased, " that sound", for too many years and have thrown countless dollars at products I thought would propel my career forward, when in reality, they were only self serving. As I have evolved in my playing process, I try to play what the song needs as opposed to what makes other bass players say, "ahhh", from flashy over the top playing. I play it solid, with a wide groove these days, each time every time.  When I first heard a Schroeder Cabinet I was impressed. I settled on 2 of the 12PL cabs pushed by a Gallien-Kruger Fusion 800 head. I have had more compliments on the sound being clean and punchy since using these cabinets. "Like a Pbass ought to", that's what they say.

The Andy T - Nick Nixon Band have been nominated for two awards for Best Traditional Album and Best Band of the Year for The Blues Foundation awards in Memphis 2016 in May.
