WANDA ORTIZ
Based in Southern California, Wanda Ortiz is active as an electric bassist and contrabassist. Her primary outlet for electric playing is the highly successful tribute band The Iron Maidens, who tour worldwide. She is also the long-standing principal contrabassist for South Coast Symphony with whom she serves on the board of directors.
Wanda was first drawn to the instrument at age nine. She was late to music class on the day students were selecting instruments, and everything was checked out except for a contrabass. At age eleven, when her school jazz ensemble was in need of an electric bassist, she took up that instrument as well. Although self-taught on the electric bass, Ms. Ortiz has studied with a number of contrabassists and participated in master classes with some of the world’s leading performers. Her interest in the instrument led her to complete a BMus degree at the University of California at Irvine. She subsequently completed an MBA degree at Pepperdine University and, in addition to her busy musical life, has a successful career in technology. She is currently on the advisory board of the International Society of Bassists, an organization for those who teach, study, play, repair, build and enjoy the bass.

"I've been using Schroeder cabinets for the past 6 years and I can't say enough about their quality and clarity! I've owned multiple high-end cabs before but there's just something about my Schroeder cabs that feels perfect everytime I plug in. I frequently get compliments from other musicians on how well the sound in a mix and how clear yet powerful the tone is. What's also amazing is how great they sound while also being so light and easy to handle for the working musician. RONNIE RAMBO
I have been playing Bass since the 1900s , 1989 the year of the B-52s Love Shake, and just like Great White I was once Bitten ( but never Shy) this was the year that started my love of playing, continuing on with that pure joy, I joined my first band in 1994.
For the last several years I’ve been playing an Ibanez Prestige SR5005E through a Bergantino Forté HP, accentuated through the clarity of my two Schroeder 212PL cabinets.
I’ve covered Modern and Classic Country, Classic and Alternative Rock and some pop over the years. Still need to cross off playing in a pop-punk cover band of my list .
I love the feel of the music under my feet so you can catch me playing barefoot most shows.

TIM MACDONALD
I was lucky to have an older sister who introduced me to incredible music in the late 60s and early 70s. By my eighth birthday, she had already gifted me Led Zeppelin III, and my musical journey began. I started playing guitar at fifteen, diving into songs by Led Zeppelin, Rush, Iron Maiden, and others. Randy Rhoads and Ronnie James Dio were major influences, not just for their music but their dedication to the craft.
In 1984, I had the chance to meet Ronnie James Dio, and his passion for music left a lasting impact on me and my friend Scott. That night shaped my mindset on what it truly means to be dedicated to music.
I started playing bass at twenty-one after a band needed one, and I quickly fell in love with the instrument. Influenced by bassists like John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, and Chris Squire, I also learned from other musicians I played with over the years.
The friendships I've made through music have been the greatest reward, not fame or money. One of those friends is Jorg Schroeder, who helped me find the perfect amp cabinet after hearing Schroeder gear at a show in 2022. I contacted Jorg that night, and he built me a 2x12 vertical cabinet that’s everything I wanted in sound, punch, and portability. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I’m incredibly grateful to Jorg for his friendship and this amazing gear.

ROBERTO MARTINEZ
Forget everything you think you know about Orlando, Florida—the attractions, the tourists, the sun and fun. Now look deeper, past the surface, into the suburbs of Orange County. Welcome to Apopka.
Apopka is ground zero for American Scythe.
Built on bone-crushing riffs, heavy melodies, and a relentless wall of sound you can feel as much as hear, American Scythe is a force of nature. Holding it all together at the foundation is a man of many dubious aliases and a notorious reputation for reusing postage stamps, Roberto A. Martinez.
Born in the shadow of Cleveland, Ohio, Martinez was raised on the smooth bolero sounds of his father’s record collection, B-boy hip-hop from his cousins, and the unshakable pulse of rock and roll radio.
Described by his own family as difficult to deal with, Roberto A. Martinez has spent the last 25 years making music on his own terms. But even the most stubborn ideals have their limits—after all, gear isn’t free.
All cheques can be made payable to Mons. Roberto A. Martinez, Esq.
American Scythe’s debut album Obey the Riff is available now on all streaming platforms.
Roberto proudly uses his 412L to strike fear in the hearts of lesser bass players.

PAUL DEYO
Hailing from far northeastern New York, on the outer edge of the Adirondack mountains, Paul started playing bass while in high school. Influenced by the outlaw country music of his childhood & later by hard rock, metal, and nu-metal music, Paul felt driven to meld different styles of playing early on in his bass journey.
With a large gap in his bass playing resume after moving out of New York to attend college, Paul would begin playing bass again in a handful of local southern rock and metal bands in his late 20s. Determined to improve relentlessly, he would also sub for & play in local cover acts who were gigging in small venues for the experience, practice, & exposure to more musical genres.
In mid-2023 Paul was invited to play bass for a band just getting started on their musical journey. After several jam sessions, it was clear that this was the project he had been looking for.
In June of 2024 the trio would write, record, & publish their first single to all major streaming platforms. From that song came a handful of gig opportunities that helped the group get a solid footing in the local music scene.
Paul continues to write, record, and perform music inspired by his country roots, coupled with the edgier music that inspired him to pick up a bass in his teens. Between his wild energy, antics on stage, and his uniquely crafted bass lines melding old school outlaw country with nu-metal and prog rock, watching & listening to Paul play is always a unique experience!

Xander Descartes
I’m Xander Descartes, a life long musician and content creator. I needed a lightweight cabinet for gigs-Schroeder. I needed something that could handle a lot of power-Schroeder. I needed something durable so it wouldn’t be demolished after a few gigs-Schroeder. Every time I looked for a cabinet to meet a particular need, Schroeder cabinets was the answer and it turns out they ticked all the boxes. Great products and service to match. I couldn’t be happier.
